Meat & Greet: David

Meat & Greet: David

Jacki Weaver |

Today's blog post features one of our fantastic team members at the New Castle Farmers Market - David!

Q&A

Q: What is your current role at the company? What does a typical day at market look like for you?
A: My current role for the company is to wash dishes along with taking out the trash for other departments. A typical day at the market for me would be washing dishes for the poultry department, and when I’m caught up, I walk around to the other departments asking them if they need their trash taken out. I do this periodically throughout the day and at the end of the day, I clean up the back of the entire poultry section and take out the trash for the night.

Q: What is your favorite product from Stoltzfus Meats?
A: My favorite product is the Banana Mango Orange juice along with the Strawberry Mango juice. I also like the Apple Brown Betty Pie.

Q: Tell us a little bit about what you enjoy doing outside of work.
A: Outside of work, I like to hang out with my family and spend time with my loved ones. I enjoy working out and exercising. I also play football.

Q: Could you tell us a little bit about what’s coming next for you?
A: In July, I will be leaving to attend West Point, which is one of the premier military academies in the country. I am attending West Point on a full ride scholarship for football. I plan to major in finance along with training hard for football to hopefully reach the NFL by the time I graduate.

David has been a great addition to the team at Stoltzfus Meats, and we're excited for his next adventure! If you'll be at the Stoltzfus stands at the New Castle Farmers Market before the end of June, make sure to stop by and wish David good luck!
