Our homemade dried beef spends 2 whole days in our smokehouses, resulting in a deep, smoky flavor. Making our smoked dried beef is a time intensive process but each day of curing and smoking is necessary to reach the robust, unmatched flavor our dried beef is famous for. Each pack is half a pound (8 oz.) and available as Sliced Dried Beef or Chipped Dried Beef.

Creamed Chipped Beef

THE BEST dried beef there is. It's the only way to make great Creamed Chipped Beef. I run a rehab and most of the guys never tasted Creamed Chipped Beef. Now they know the best.

sliced dried beef for creamed chipped beef

i'm looking for an alternative to the 'standard' hormel dried beef in a can. this might be it! it's not a drop-in replacement, and i'll need to experiment with the recipe before i know if it's good or merely serviceable. this stuff is thicker and less salty, and the flavor is ... different. but no complaints about the product per-se, and maybe with the right amount of pre-frying and added salt i can get closer to the old-school version. i bet many will like this stuff better than canned of course! i keep in freezer and use about 1/2 packet per 4-person/4-cup creamed-chipped-beef/SoS recipe.

Dried Beef Sliced

This is my first time ordering from Stoltzfus. I am from York,Pa and I was looking for a taste of home and I did find that in the dried beef. I ordered the sliced beef but wanted it to make it on toast. It was a little thicker than I wanted but the flavor was excellent. Next time I will get the shaved. Good Job!

Great dried beef. We’re using it for Creamed Chipped Beef on waffles and toast. The taste is wonderful. Only issue is that it could be sliced a bit thicker, but that’s just me…
