Sausage Cheesesteak

A twist on the classic cheesesteak sandwich using our sweet Italian sausage grillers.

Ingredients (makes 2 sandwiches)

  • 1/2 lb Stoltzfus Meats sweet Italian grillers (approx 2 grillers), casings removed
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 sweet onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • BBQ sauce
  • 2 hoagie rolls

Directions

  1. Saute sausage, pepper, onion, and mushrooms in a large skillet over medium heat until brown, approximately 10-15 minutes.
  2. Add cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce to the top of the sausage and vegetable mixture. Cover pan with a lid and steam until the cheese is melted.
  3. Serve in hoagie roll.
